TPCC President B. Mahesh Kumar Goud stated that additional BRS leaders are expected to join the ruling party following the Dasara festivities.
During a casual discussion with journalists at Gandhi Bhavan, Goud claimed that both the BRS and BJP were participating in questionable arrangements aimed at undermining the Congress administration.
Goud highlighted the evident ties between the BRS and BJP, using the recent bail granted to MLC K. Kavitha in the liquor scam as a key example of their apparent collaboration. He expressed concerns about political bias, questioning why AAP leader Manish Sisodia, arrested in the same scandal, faced delays in securing bail compared to Kavitha’s quick release.
Goud announced that the Congress party intends to create a new TPCC executive committee within the next month. He clarified that the filling of nominated roles had been delayed due to the elections taking place in Haryana and Jammu.
The TPCC president criticized the BJP for the rising costs of basic necessities that have increasingly burdened economically disadvantaged families over the past decade. He pointed out that the BJP-led government at the national level has consistently neglected to tackle inflation, rendering it unfit to represent the interests of the impoverished.
