Prime Minister Modi has offered a Dussehra surprise for the Telugu states. The central government has announced the distribution of tax allocations to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, along with several other states across the country. This decision means that both states will soon receive their due share of tax revenues. Given the ongoing financial challenges faced by the Telugu states, this news is viewed as a welcome relief during the festive season. The Union Ministry of Finance has made an official statement regarding this matter.

As per the central government’s regulations, states are required to keep a portion of the taxes collected over the year, with the remaining amount to be shared among them. This distribution occurs in phases. In this latest allocation, the government is releasing a total of ₹1.78 lakh crores to all states combined. Today, Andhra Pradesh received ₹7,221 crores as its share of taxes, while Telangana was allocated ₹3,745 crores.
