Nagarjuna’s iconic film Shiva, directed by Ram Gopal Varma, has reached a significant milestone, celebrating its 35th anniversary. Released in 1990, the film set a benchmark for action cinema in Tollywood and created lasting fame for both Nagarjuna as a leading actor and Varma as a director.
On the occasion of this anniversary, the film’s team expressed their gratitude to fans and supporters in a social media post. Nagarjuna reflected on the film’s impact, stating, “It’s been 35 years since Shiva was released. I can never forget the moments I traveled in the car with my father after the film’s release. He told me, ‘Last night I saw Shiva. This morning, I heard it was a big hit. I believe this will be one of the biggest hits in the Telugu film industry.’ Those words turned out to be true. I thank all the film lovers who have shown their affection for our movie all these years and everyone who was part of creating Shiva.”
In response, Ram Gopal Varma expressed his appreciation, stating, “Thank you for giving me a lifetime memorable break. Without your immense faith and support, there would be no Shiva and no me.”
