Probe Reveals Not A AR Dairy supplied Adulterated Ghee Secured Locally only

Saturday, December 21, 2024

The claims of Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul-based AR Dairy that they supply only quality ghee to TTD for Laddu prasadam proved to be wrong.  Moreover, it has been proven that the ghee that comes under the name of AR Dairy is ‘purely local’ and does not come from Dindigul in Tamil Nadu.

The state GST department submitted a detailed report to the TTD EO on the movements, purchases and sources of these ghee tankers.

The ‘ghee’ nexus between Bhole Baba Organic Dairy Milk Pvt Ltd in Uttar Pradesh, AR Dairy in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu and Vaishnavi Dairy in Penumaka of Tirupati district have been revealed including GST invoices, way bills and tanker numbers. It has been proved with evidence that AR Dairy has supplied adulterated ghee to Tirumala Srivari Laddu.

AR Dairy, which has won the tender to supply ghee to TTD, has supplied Vaishnavi Dairy ghee in its name. It filled the tankers here, changed the invoices and sent the tankers directly to Tirumala. This is where the big trick happened.

Vaishnavi Dairy in Tirupati district bought ghee from Bholebaba Organic Dairy in Kanpur. Ghee has been imported from UP several times in the months of June and July. On an average, it bought ghee for Rs.355 per kg from Bhole Baba. The same ghee was sold to AR Dairy at Rs.318.57 per kg. That means Rs 37 less than the purchase rate!

This is an unaffordable price unless the ghee is adulterated and mixed with trans fats! Thus 8 tankers of ghee purchased from Vaishnavi reached Tirumala under the name of AR Dairy. In this, brownies were made with four tankers.

As there were huge complaints about their quality the TTD was  taken from the 4 tankers and sent to the NDDB lab in Gujarat. The NDDB laboratory has given a clear report that the ghee used for the Tirumala Srivari Laddu Prasad has been adulterated to a fatal extent.
