Bollywood actor Ananya Pandey is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film ‘CTRL’. Touted to be a cyber thriller, the film stars Ananya Pandey and Vihaan Samat in the lead roles under the direction of ‘Udaan’ director Vikramaditya Motwane.
The filmmakers have recently unveiled the film’s trailer, which looks both engaging and intriguing. Ananya Pandey portrays Nella Awasthi, with Vihaan Samat playing her boyfriend, Joe. The trailer hints at a compelling storyline that begins with Nella (Ananya Pandey) creating an account on an app called ‘CTRL’, handing over control of her life and happiness to a digital entity.
As the trailer progresses, it showcases the couple’s charming relationship, highlighting their popularity on social media. However, the narrative takes a turn when Nella learns that Joe is cheating on her. She tries to move on from her breakup, and she wishes to erase him from her life, only to find out that he has mysteriously vanished. The mystery of Joe vanishing and its connection to the AI will be explored in full on Netflix. Additionally, the trailer also features special cameos from popular YouTubers Rohan Joshi and Tanmay Bhat.
Written by Avinash Sampath and Vikramaditya Motwane, the film is produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and Arya A. Menon under the banners of Saffron Magicworks and Andolan Films. CTRL is scheduled to release on Netflix on October 4, 2024.
