Kakinada Rural Jana Sena MLA Pantam Nanaji has finally apologized for abusing doctors of Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada. He said that he never behaved like that with anyone and said out of anger he used some abusive language. However, he said he is not even asking not to register a case against him.
He is said to be taking U turn after Jana Sena chief and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has expressed his anger over the behavior of his party MLA with the doctors and medical students of the Medical College. It seems that he called the MLA over phone and reprimanded him.
When the MLA said that unfortunately it happened in a moment, the professor calmed down a bit. However, medical students seem to be still angry. Dr. Uma Maheswara Rao, who was abused by the MLA, said, “We are all hurt because MLA Nanaji’s behavior was not proper.” But, he advised the students not to do any kind of agitation keeping in mind the condition of the patients.
He told the medical students that they will file a complaint at the police station and if justice is not served, they may go on a dharna. Kakinada Rangaraya Medical College has a 12-acre sports ground in Srinagar. It has a volleyball court for medicos in about 150 yards. Outsiders are not allowed to use this ground without the permission of the medical college.
But about 40 youths who are claiming followers of Kakinada City and Rural MLAs Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao and Pantham Nanaji are coming to the volleyball court. They are fighting with the doctors there. Also, often misbehaved with the medical students and women who come for walking. The medico complained to RMC Sports Vice Chairman Dr. Umamaheswara Rao.
A complaint has also been filed with the management of the medical college as well as with the National Medical Council. In this order, some outsiders came to the college ground to play volleyball on Saturday evening and engaged in provocative actions with the medical students.
RMC Vice Principal Dr. Vishnuvardhan got into an argument with doctors and students. Kakinada Rural MLA Nanaji became angry and went to the ground in the night and insulted Dr. Umamaheswara Rao with obscene language. MLA’s followers attacked him.
Taking this incident seriously, the management of the medical college filed a complaint with the SP. The police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
