BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy said that Congress goons attempted to kill him. He alleged that the windows of his house were destroyed. According to the plan, eggs and tomatoes were brought. However, he said that he has no fear of attacks. If they try to kill us, we will show them”, he warned.
If the state government is unable to give protection to one MLA, he wondered how the government can provide protection to the common people. Ridiculing Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s claim that he is heading a ‘People’s Government’, he cautioned that the government has to face consequences of Congress goons violence.
He said that the police remained as silent spectators without controlling unruly Congress workers. He lamented that they were unable to stop the goons when they were destroying his house and by escorting them in a way giving protection to the goons.
Kaushik Reddy made it clear that BRS party will come to power after five years and the leaders who have defected have to face consequences. He asserted that it is legislative practice to appoint the opposition nominee as Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and the practice was followed by the BRS when it was in power.
Kaushik Reddy asked how they would secretly give PAC to Arekapudi Gandhi, who did not file nominations. However, he said he will leave words spoken by Gandhi to his wisdom. He recalled that Mainampally Hanmanth Rao held a meeting in Alwal and insulted KTR in the same way. But, Reddy said he lost with a majority of 50,000 votes.
He predicted that the same will happen to Gandhi also in his constituency tomorrow. “We will show our guts under the leadership of KCR in the by-elections”, he said. He said that he is putting direct questions and they should be answered without resorting to diversion politics.
