Tollywood superstar NTR and Bollywood diva Alia Bhatt worked together for Oscar winning blockbuster patriotic drama RRR. Though they weren’t paired together in the film, both these actors share great camaraderie which was evident during the promotions of RRR.
After RRR, Alia Bhatt was supposed to pair up with NTR in Koratala Siva’s Devara. She was almost signed up as the female lead two years ago. However, Alia backed out from the project due to clash of dates with other films and also due to the delay in start of Devara. Later, Jahnvi Kapoor came on board as the female lead.
Now, NTR and Alia Bhatt joined hands to promote their upcoming films. While NTR is awaiting the grand release of his much anticipated action saga Devara, Alia is looking for her emotional saga Jigra. Devara is set for release on September 27th and Jigra will hit the screens on October 11th.
As NTR is currently stationed in Mumbai to unveil the theatrical trailer of Devara, he bumped into Alia Bhatt for a cross over promotional campaign involving Bollywood’s biggest filmmaker Karan Johar. Both NTR and Alia attended a promotional show with Karan Johar earlier today and photos from this crazy event are currently going viral all over. The event is titled Devara ka Jigra.
This is a novel strategy to promote two big ticket films.
Devara has NTR playing dual roles and the story is set in the backdrop of a fictional island near coastal areas. On the other side, Jigra is tale of an orphan sister who goes till any extent to save her brother. Vasan Bala is the director.
