AP’s former minister and senior YCP leader Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy has sent defamation notices to two media organizations, who have been making false accusations against him. He reacted strongly accusing that false propaganda is being spread against him in the case of theft of files in Madanapally Sub Collector’s office of Annamayya district.
Defamation notices have been sent to the newspapers and media organizations that made the campaign. It seems that notices have been sent to pay Rs.100 crores under defamation. Peddireddy said that the defamation notices of Rs. 50 crore per channel were sent and those who spread baseless accusations against resorting to his character assassination will face legal action.
His lawyers say that if notices are sent now, he will file a case very soon in the court. Recently Peddireddy warned that he will take legal action against those who are resorting to spreading false accusations against him.
He also strongly objected to media reports that a disqualification suit was admitted by the AP High Court against his election as MLA. He asserted that till now he has not received any notice from the court on the disqualification petition filed against him. He said that he will definitely give a legal answer, if receives a notice.
Lamenting worsening law and order in the state, the former minister alleged that some media organizations are intentionally hiding Chandrababu’s mistakes. He expressed his anger that some media organizations are doing bad publicity against him.
Expressing concern that Chandrababu Naidu government is diluting Aarogyasri scheme, he said that during the first two months of his government it has owed Rs 2,500 crore to the hospitals.
Alleging that attempts are going on to privatise healthcare in the state, he recalled that already it was said they will bring government hospitals into PPP mode. He feared that in the coming days the poor may not get treatment in government hospitals without payment.
