Re-releasing iconic films of star actors has currently become a popular trend in Tollywood. Following the trend, several movies, including classic films like Pokiri, Kushi, Manam, Suriya s/o Krishnan, Shankar Dada MBBS, and many more from the top actors, were rereleased.
Joining the wave, the much-anticipated romantic psychological thriller ‘3’, starring Dhanush and Shruti Haasan, which was released in 2012, is all set to hit theaters once again to mesmerize audiences with the magical love story of Ram and Janani.
The film ‘3’, which marked Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s directorial debut and introduced musical sensation Anirudh Ravichander, is set for a re-release on September 14. According to a report by Aakashavaani, the film is said to be slated for a re-release in theaters all over India once again.
Speaking more about ‘3’, the film revolves around Ram (Dhanush) and Janani (Shruti Haasan), a couple who fall in love during their school days and eventually tie the knot. But their idyllic life is shattered when Ram unexpectedly takes his own life, leaving Janani to uncover the truth behind his tragic and sudden death.
The film was titled ‘3’ as it portrays love in three different phases of life. Although the movie was a flop at the box office at the time of release, its magical love story, gripping narrative, and captivating performances from Dhanush and Shruti Haasan have earned it a place in the hearts of audiences, turning it into a classic.
Anirudh Ravichander’s music, despite this being his debut film, stood out as a major highlight with its soulful compositions.
