The AP CID police, who are investigating files burning at Madanapalle sub-collector’s office, suspecting that the key accused in the coase and former minister Peddireddy Ramachadnra Reddy’s close associate Madhav Reddy is taking shelter in New Delhi.

The CID police, who are haunting him for the last few days as he can only give a real picture of the incident, believe that key YCP leaders are only shielding him. They are continuing ‘Operation Madhav Reddy’ to detain and interrogate him.

After receiving a clue that some key YCP leaders are shielding him in Delhi, a key official team from the CID said to be leaving for the national capital.  Last Sunday at eleven o’clock in the night, the Madanapalle sub-collector’s office caught fire. RDO tried to hide the face by stating to the media that the fire accident was due to

electrical short circuit.

But in the morning, the real facts came to light in the short circuit story. VRA Ramanaiah, who was on duty as a watchman, revealed that Senior Assistant Gautam Tej was in the office till 11 o’clock on Sunday night. Due to this, suspicions were expressed about this incident.

Collector and SP reached the spot on Monday morning and started an investigation. In the evening, DGP and CID Chief Ravi Shankar Ayyannar also reached there. RDOs Murali and Hariprasad were interrogated along with Gautam Tej and Ramanaiah who were in custody.

The next day, Tuesday afternoon, the police searched the house of Madhav Reddy, a key follower of Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy. About two bags of documents were seized by the police from his house. But Madhav Reddy has already escaped.

The investigation is going on under the supervision of SP Vidyasagar Naidu. During his visit, Revenue Special Chief Secretary RP Sisodiahas  received complaints from several  people alleging forceful grabbing of their lands at throwaway prices by influential people.

On Thursday, on the first day, 400 people submitted petitions to him about their problems. Sisodia said, “Out of two lakh acres of freehold land, 4,500 acres have been registered. Most of the complaints were about the forcible seizure of lands. Some court cases are going on”.

He said that they will recreate all the burnt files in the sub-collectorate. Copies of those files will be available at Collectorate and also mandal Tahsildar office. So, he assured that farmers need not worry about their lands.
