Superstar Rajinikanth joins forces with renowned director Lokesh Kanagarj for the action-packed thriller ‘Coolie’. Dismissing the earlier speculations about its shelving, the filmmakers have delighted fans with an exciting update.
Today, the makers officially announced that the film’s shooting has commenced. Sharing the exciting news on their social media platforms, the film team dropped a striking new poster featuring Superstar Rajinikanth sitting on a chair, accompanied by the announcement “Shoot starts from today” on it.
Along with the poster, they captioned it, “Superstar-Loki Sambhavam begins! #Coolie shooting starts today.”
Backed by Kalanidhi Maran under the prestigious banner of Sun Pictures, the upcoming film features Shruthi Haasan as the female lead.
Shruti Haasan recently posted a story on her Instagram handle and later deleted it, teasing the start of the “#Coolie Shoot.”
Speculation surrounds Siva Karthikeyan’s potential involvement in a crucial role for the film, yet an official announcement has not been made by the makers. Additionally, Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil is said to be part of this eagerly awaited film.
Musical sensation Anirudh Ravichandran will be producing the musical tunes for this flick, heightening anticipation among fans who eagerly await his collaboration with Rajinikanth, renowned for delivering electrifying blockbusters.
On the work front, Superstar Rajinikanth will be seen in his next ‘Vettaiyan’, helmed by TJ Gnanavel. The film also has a star-studded cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, and Rithika Singh. Slated for a pan-Indian release, the film will hit theaters on October 10, 2024.
