YSRCP leader and former Kodumuru MLA Jaradoddi Sudhakar has been arrested by the police. According to reports, a case has been registered against him for allegedly sexually assaulting a girl who worked in his house. Sudhakar was taken into custody from his residence in Kurnool today as part of the ongoing investigation. He was subsequently taken to the hospital for a medical examination.
The allegations against Sudhakar stem from an incident where he is accused of misbehaving with a girl employed in his household. A video of the incident went viral on social media during the elections. Recently, the police registered a case against Sudhakar under the POCSO Act, leading to his arrest.
Sudhakar contested the 2019 elections from the Kodumuru constituency in Kurnool district on a YSRCP ticket and won. However, he did not receive a ticket for the 2024 elections and was replaced by Satish, the brother of former minister Adimulapu Suresh.
