Mudragada Padmanabham stated that if Pawan Kalyan wins in Pithapuram, he will change his name to Mudragada Padmanabha Reddy. He has already completed all the necessary government formalities for the name change, including a gazette notification. In this context, he released a video message, clarifying that there was no external pressure influencing his decision.
“I have applied for a name change, and the government has approved it. It has also been published in the Gazette. There is no pressure from anyone; this was entirely my decision and request. The government expedited the process at my request. When my son changed his name to Giri from Challarao, it took three months. So, I asked the government to complete my name change process as quickly as possible. The authorities responded promptly and completed the task. I did this on my own, with no pressure from anyone.
I took the certificates from the MRO and SI and submitted them to the Amaravati government printing office. After following up on two instructions from the authorities, I resubmitted the documents. That’s how I changed my name,” he explained. Mudragada Padmanabha Reddy also made notable remarks against AP Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan regarding the Kapu reservation issue. “Pawan Kalyan garu could not continue the movement previously due to my inefficiency and perceived betrayal. I failed to fulfill the Kapus’ wish.
Now, with both the state and central governments under your influence, I believe you have the opportunity and courage to fulfill the long-standing wish of the Kapus. If you are determined, you can grant reservations to Kapus within a few days. You have that ability. Work towards this goal to satisfy the Kapu and Balija youth who admire you.”
