TDP MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary took oath as the pro-tem speaker ahead of the AP assembly session set to begin tomorrow. Governor Abdul Nazeer administered the oath of office and secrecy to Chowdary at a ceremony held at The Raj Bhavan, which was attended by state ministers.
As the assembly meets for the first time since the formation of the TDP coalition government in AP, Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary will lead the House proceedings as the pro-tem speaker. In this role, he will oversee the swearing-in ceremonies of the MLAs and the election of the Speaker.
