Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu turns emotional while visiting the destruction carried out by the previous Jagan regime during the last five-years in Amaravati capital region.
He bowed to the foundation stone platform sitting on his knees. Visited the area where water-soil was collected from all places of the country and put on display.He performed puja by pounding a coconut.
He felt sorry for the miserable scene at the place where the foundation stone was laid by the Prime Minister in the presence of many dignitaries. He was shocked to see that the soil contents remained in a disastrous condition.
In his determination to develop Amaravati as a dream capital city, on Thursday he went on a field visit to know the present state of affairs there. He started his field visit from Praja Vedika, from where Jaganmohan Reddy’s’ Regime of demolitions’ started, which was still kept in ruined condition and Chandrababu also ordered to keep those ruins intact so as everyone was aware of the destruction done by Jagan.
He went to the Seed Access Road via Karakatta Road. Seeing the suffering of the farmers of the capital, he said that this entire area stood as evidence of Jagan’s anarchy. Chandrababu took a bus to the Uddandarayunipalem area where the foundation stone of Amaravati was laid via the Seed Access Road.
He reminded that the farmers of Amaravati had taken up agitation for 1,631 days and said that the credit of the long struggle for Amaravati belongs to the farmers. He hailed the struggle of Amaravati farmers as an example for future generations.
He asserted his government top priorities stating A stands for Amaravati and P stands for Polavaram. Chandrababu criticized that the previous government had completely destroyed the Amaravati region. He lamented that it had kept a blind eye to the theft of pipes, roads and soil in this area.
Chandrababu commented that God has saved Amaravati from evil rule. Chandrababu expressed grief that AP has become a state without a capital during the last five years of rule.
Expressing concern over massive destruction in Amaravati, Chandrababu said that a detailed study should be made on how to rebuild and find out challenges in that way. He assured that the government will conduct a comprehensive study to restructure the capital city.
“Amaravati is the people’s capital. Visakhapatnam is the financial capital. We will make Kurnool a model city. We have set up 11 central government institutions across the state including Rayalaseema” he said and reminded that plans were made for comprehensive development of all areas in the past.
