TDP Demand Judicial Probe Into Dharma Reddy’s Loot At TTD

Monday, December 23, 2024

Stating that the out-going Executive Officer of TTD Dharma Reddy’s scandals cannot be resolved by a departmental enquiry, TDP official spokesperson N Vijaya Kumar has demanded the government to order a judicial probe into all allegations against him in the TTD.

He said that by leaving TTD Dharma Reddy and resigning as Chairman B Karunakar Reddy cannot escape from their loot and horrible corruption in the TTD.  He alleged that they looted crores of rupees in the name of new structure by demolishing existing one and also repairs.

He wondered that without sanction from the state government earlier chairmans YV Subba Reddy and Karunakar Reddy have increased engineering budget hundreds of crores of rupees with active collusion with Dharma Reddy and issued contracts, in which hundreds of crores were looted as commision.

He said that during 2023-24, TTD’s engineering budget was only Rs.300 crores, while Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, who took over the responsibilities of the chairman in September, within three months hiked the amount to Rs 1,233 crores without any statutory clearance from the state government.

Before him, Vijayakumar said that YV Subba Reddy exceeding the general budget limit increased to Rs. 475 crores. Later Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, who became the chairman, increased it to the same amount to Rs. 1,772 crores and committed serious irregularities.

TDP leader wondered that from the time Dharma Reddy took charge as EO stopped putting details of the engineering works on TTD’s website. As a result, no one is able to know whether a work was sanctioned? Or not? After Karunakar Reddy took charge as Chairman, he said they stopped keeping Trust Board resolutions on the website.

Moreover, Vijaykumar alleged that Sri Vani Trust is a big scandal at TTD committed by Dharma Reddy and others. He said that according to TTD’s white paper on this trust, they were intended to construct 2,273 temples, of which 320 temples will be constructed by Samarasatha Seva Trust. For each temple Rs 10 lakh was allotted.

But, he wondered that if you go to the website of the Samarasatha Seva Trust, it says that only Rs. 5 lakhs have been taken for each temple, and that too under the grant of Rs. 25 crores given by TTD during  2015-18 of TDP regime. There were no details of any funds they received from TTD afterwards.
