He left from Undavalli at 11 am and he was received by ministers, MLAs, officials and TDP leaders in a big number at the project site. Arriving at the Polavaram project, he viewed various areas including the spillway from a helicopter. After reaching the project, Chandrababu asked the officials about the progress of the project.

He mainly inquired about project spillway, cofferdam, diaphragm wall works. The project was inspected from gates 22 and 23. Chief Minister Chandrababu, who left from there, along with ministers and officials inspected the project in a bus. Later, they saw a photo exhibition arranged near the project.

After examining the Polavaram project, CM Chandrababu will conduct a review with the government officials. When TDP was in power between 2014-2019, Chandrababu used to call every Monday as Polavaram and used to conduct a review of a field visit of the project.

Although the project work was completed more than 70 per cent during the previous regime of Naidu, it was practically stalled during the last five years of YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime. During the election campaign itself Chandrababu Naidu made it clear that developing Amaravati as capital city and completion of Polavaram projects will be on his top agenda of governance.

As the government came to power again, Monday was again given to Polavaram. He also asked officials various questions in this regard. Upto where Polavaram Right Canal can be extended? He asked them  to examine the possibilities of maximum usage of water. CM directed the officials to examine the feasibility of extending the right canal up to Vaikuntapuram.
