Pothina Mahesh Criticizes Pawan Kalyan’s Deputy CM Appointment

The TDP alliance has come to power in Andhra Pradesh, with ministers allocated their portfolios and commencing their duties. However, Pothina Mahesh, who switched from Jana Sena to YSRCP before the elections, has made sensational remarks. Expressing anger with Chandrababu’s alliance, Mahesh accused Chandrababu of prioritizing social fraud with his first official act. He questioned the presence of social justice in Chandrababu’s alliance, claiming that BCs, SCs, STs, and Muslims were disrespected. In 2014, the deputy chief minister posts were given to Nimmakayala Chinnarajappa and K Krishnamurthy, from the Kapu and Gowda communities.

Pothina Mahesh praised Jagan Mohan Reddy, who, upon coming to power in 2019, appointed ten deputy chief ministers from BC, SC, ST, Kapu, and minority communities, ensuring social justice. He highlighted Jagan’s efforts to bring revolutionary changes in social engineering. Mahesh emphasized the need to exceed Jagan’s past actions by appointing deputy chief ministers from BC, SC, ST, and minority communities, but criticized Chandrababu for failing to do so. He alleged that only Pawan Kalyan was given a significant post, thereby insulting other communities and disregarding social justice in the cabinet formation.
