The stage is set for the formation of new dispensation in Andhra Pradesh after the NDA alliance conjured a never-before-seen victory in the recent assembly elections with 164 seats. TDP supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been unanimously elected as the CM designate by the elected MLAs ahead of the swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday in Vijayawada.
Meanwhile, the list of cabinet ministers who are going to be part of the new government has been officially unveiled late in the night on Tuesday after all three coalition partners ( TDP+Janasena+BJP) held prolonged consultations on who is going to make the cut.
The new cabinet will feature 23 Ministers and One Deputy CM. As expected, Janasena supremo and Pithapuram MLA Pawan Kalyan will be Naidu’s subordinate as Deputy CM who have a significant role in the policy making decisions of the government. Besides Pawan, there will be two other ministers from Pawan Kalyan. Nadendla Manohar and Kandula Durgesh have been inducted into the cabinet. From BJP, Dharmavaram MLA Satya Kumar Prasad is going to handle a pivotal portfolio.
Senior TDP leaders Nimmala Rama Naidu from Palakol, Nasyam Mohammad Farooq, Kinjarapu Atchunnaidu from Srikakulam, Ponguru Narayana from Nellore, Kollu Ravindra from Machilipatnam and Anam Ram Narayana Reddy have been respected with ministers this time. Gummadi Sandhya Rani, Anitha Vangalapudi, and S Savitha are the three women in the list and all of them are going to have a huge responsibility because this is the first time they have been included in the cabinet.
Nara Lokesh, who won with a thumping majority from Mangalagiri, will lead the young brigade of ministers in the cabinet. He will be assisted by other ministers like Vasamsetti Subash from East Godavari, Kondapalli Srinivas from Vizianagaram, and Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy from Rayachoti.
Loyal leaders like Payyavula Keshav and Gottipati Ravi Kumar are also rewarded with cabinet berths this time. Kolusu Parthasarti, former YSRCP MLA, is also included in the cabinet. Another first-timer TG Bharat also featured in the list.
