In light of recent political developments, Andhra Pradesh state government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has responded with allegations against the Election Commission (EC). He claimed that the EC’s stance has shifted following the formation of an alliance in AP. Chandrababu also remarked that the EC has been compromised, stating that it is acting under the influence of Chandrababu and his associates.
The EC, expected to function as an impartial umpire, has faced criticism for allegedly acting vindictively. Sajjala questioned how a video of Pinnelli emerged from the polling station while videos of TDP leaders allegedly damaging EVMs were not released. He asserted that if the EC were truly impartial, it should disclose the locations of EVM damage incidents across the state.
Sajjala emphasized the need to uncover what occurred in and around the polling booths, highlighting the importance of transparency. He also questioned why the TDP, despite claiming to be victims, has not demanded repolling. He suggested that the TDP is avoiding calls for repolling because they were involved in rigging, but have nonetheless suffered from it. Additionally, Sajjala accused the TDP of conspiring to remove the Chief Secretary.
