KCR Targeted BJP’s BL Santosh To Rescue Kavitha From Liquor Scam

Friday, November 22, 2024

The phone tapping episode by the previous KCR regime was intended against not only KCR’s political opponents, but also his party leaders. Moreover, the infamous alleged BJP attempt of poaching four BRS MLAs was actually intended to arrest BJP General Secretary B L Santosh so that to rescue KCR’s daughter and BRS MLC K Kavitha from Delhi Liquor Scam.

This sensational revelation was made by former SIB DSP Radhakishan Rao, who was arrested in phone tapping case. In his 9 April confession statement to the cops investigating the phone-tapping case, former deputy commissioner of police (DCP) P Radha Kishan Rao said that BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao — who was the chief minister then — had ordered the arrest of BJP general secretary BL Santhosh.

Although a notice was issued to him, BL Santhosh was never arrested in the case. He said the KCR plot was intended  to threaten BJP leadership to free Scot Kavitha from liquor scam after the arrest of Santosh.

However, the attempt was not materialised as the police team which was sent for Santosh arrest failed in its mission and meanwhile High Court gave a stay order against any action against Santosh and also handed over the case to the CBI.

Radhakishan Rao claimed that several retired police officers, politicians and media personalities were snooped under the instructions of then Telangana’s Special Intelligence Bureau (SIB) T. Prabhakar Rao. He has been named as the prime accused in the illegal phone tapping case.

The Hyderabad Police has attached Radhakishan Rao’s confession statement to other documents submitted to the Nampally Criminal Court. As per the report, the former police officer, who was arrested on March 29 in connection with the case, told the investigators that those who criticised the BRS government or were seen as a threat to the party were placed under surveillance.

Key BJP leaders Bandi Sanjay, Etela Rajender and D Aravind, key Congress leaders A Revanth Reddy, Jana Reddy’s son and others were kept under surveillance.  Meanwhile, a lookout notice has been issued in the name of Prabhakar Rao, who is believed to have absconded to the United States.
