The Andhra Pradesh High Court has granted relief to Macherla MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy in the EVM destruction case. During yesterday’s hearing, the court directed the police not to take any action against Pinnelli until June 6.
Today, the high court passed an order on Pinnelli’s anticipatory bail plea, imposing several restrictions on his movements. He has been ordered to stay in Narasaraopet until June 6 and is prohibited from going to Macherla during the vote counting on June 4. However, he is allowed to visit the Narasaraopet counting center.
Additionally, Pinnelli has been instructed not to speak to the media or to witnesses about the case. The court mandated that Pinnelli’s movements be closely monitored and directed the AP CEO to issue an order to the police to ensure full surveillance.
