TDP chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the time has come to send YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who destroyed Amaravati, home. He deplored that Jagan deprived people to have their own capital, in the name of three capitals.
Addressing an election rally in Dharmavaram, along with union home minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah, Naidu said that soon NDA government will be formed in the state and it will make Amaravati as number one capital in the country. He said that Amit Shah also clearly said that they are too committed to Amaravti.
He said that Jagan had brought the capital to a situation where he could not say anything, and he called for the alliance candidates to win for the construction of Amaravati. He also said that Amit Shah had given specific assurance to Polavaram to complete it within two years after the formation of the new government.
Naidu reminded that Prime Minister Modi had given assurance on Polavaram. Chandrababu promised to complete Polavaram and will irrigate every acre in Anantapur with Handriniva. He accused that Jagan is a traitor in Rayalaseema, hewho has not completed a single project in five years.
He criticized Jagan that not even a single rupee was spent on the projects and the irrigation projects were blocked. He assured that surplus water of Godavari will be provided to the last lands.
Chandrababu said that the farmers are losing for want of of the remunerative price and Jagan government is cheating farmers by diverting funds provided by the Center to rescue farmers.
TDP chief assured that the new government will deposit Rs 20,000 into farmers accounts every year and it will be the responsibility of the TDP to make the Farmer a King.
Expressing concern that the development of the state was taken back seat during Jagan’s regime, he said it is possible only if there is a competent leadership in the state and it is complemented by the active cooperation of the center.
He said that youth are discontent for want of jobs and assured that the new government will provide 20 lakh jobs in five years at the rate of 4 lakh every annually. Otherwise, he said they will be provided an unemployment allowance of Rs 3,000 per month. He said that the Telugu Desam government will invest in the state and provide employment to the youth.
