On the otherhand, Eenadu Group is also waging all-out war against YS Jagan govChief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his government has been levying all-out war against Eenadu Group of companies, particularly Margadarsi Chit Fund Company. It not only foisted several cases and fought upto Supreme Court, but made sincere efforts to arrest its Supreme Ch. Ramoji Rao.
On the otherhand, Eenadu Group is also waging an all out attack against YS Jagan government and the ruling YSRCP leadership accusing it as a `Yellow Media’ promoting TDP and Jana Sena. But, firebrand minister R K Roja’s close association with Margadarsi and ETV pushed the ruling party into an irksome position.
Her proximity with ETV was well known through her `Jabardasthi’ programme. She continued in the programme even after she became YCP MLA and only left after being inducted into the state cabinet. But, her long-time association with Margadarsi Chit Fund was revealed only last week when she filed her nomination from Nagiri assembly seat.
In her affidavit, she revealed her investments in Margadarsi Chits. While she is said to be a close associate of Chief Minister Jagan and the government is accusing Margadarsi as a `big financial fraud’, her long-standing association with it puts the ruling party into offense.
YCP circles are wondering that though the government’s moves against the said Chit Fund Company accusing it of financial impropriety for the last five years, Roja has been continuing her relationship as a customer with Margadarsi since a long time.
It must be noted here that her 2019 election affidavit also showed her association with the firm which has now surprised and embarrassed the YSRCP leaders. The two-time MLA Roja who is trying to win for the third term, is holding a Rs.39,21,120 lakh chit with number LT030V MA/48 with Margadarsi, according to her own affidavit.
Further, her 2019 affidavit showed the details of her chit with Margadarsi. Accordingly, she had a chit of Rs 24,02,380 lakh with LT022V MA/45. This clearly showed her trust in the organisation on which the government has been running a legal battle during the last five years.
