PM Modi Appears Very Nervous, Says Rahul Gandhi

Tuesday, November 5, 2024

Congress former president Rahul Gandhi took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that these days PM Modi appears very nervous during his speeches about the BJP’s prospects in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls and there is a probability that he may shed tears on the stage.

“You hear Modi’s speech. He is nervous. In a few days, he will likely tear up,” he said, accusing the prime minister of diverting the attention of the public from the ‘real’ issues,  while addressing a rally in Karnataka’s Bijapur.

He also alleged that Narendra Modi has snatched money from the poor in the last ten years. Rahul Gandhi further said, “Narendra Modi has only snatched money from the poor in the last 10 years. He gave as much wealth to 22 people of the country as 70 crore people of the country have. There are 1 per cent such people in India who control 40 percent of the wealth”.

Therefore, he said that the Congress Party will give you participation by eliminating unemployment and inflation. The amount of money that Narendra Modi has given to the billionaires, we will give that much money to the poor people of India, he added.

Alluding to PM Modi and the BJP, Rahul Gandhi further alleged that a party and a person were trying to end the Indian constitution and democracy. “BJP MPs have said that if they win elections, they will change the Constitution. On the other hand, the Congress party and the INDIA bloc are trying to protect the Constitution and the ideals of (social reformer) Basavanna,” he said.

The former Congress President claimed that in Karnataka the Congress government had delivered on all its promises. “Congress has fulfilled all the guarantees it had given in Karnataka, due to which the people here are getting a lot of benefits. Narendra Modi makes some people billionaires, the Congress government will make crores of people lakhpatis” Rahul Gandhi said.
