Former Telangana Chief Minister and BRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao that a Modi bomb would fall on Karnataka followed by Telangana after the Lok Sabha elections, with the BJP still conspiring to topple State governments.

In an exclusive interview with Telugu news channel TV9, the Leader of Opposition said that this was evident from the statements of BJP leaders K Laxman and Maheshwar Reddy, who were repeatedly stating that the current Congress government would be ousted.

Adding credence was the fact that despite allegations that A Revanth Reddy himself might turn into another Eknath Shinde in Telangana, KCR recalled that the Chief Minister was never condemning these remarks.

He asserted that ‘KCR was the history of Telangana’ and that none could wipe that history out.accused of malicious campaign against him by the ruling Congress.

Ridiculing attempts to malign his legacy, emphasising his role as a transformative force rather than merely a political figure, KCR cautioned against underestimating his impact on the State’s politics. “KCR is an institution, not a person”, he added.

He asked whether the people voted for the Congress just to blame KCR? “People voted for the Congress due to the promises given to them. But today, they are extremely disappointed with the government,” he said.  He lamented that Congress leaders are hurling abuses against thim only out of frustration.

KCR denied any connection with the phone tapping controversy, dismissing it as a cheap political stunt by the  Congress. Stating that phone tapping had nothing to do with the Chief Minister or Ministers, he said it was part of the intelligence gathering system by police officials.

Pointing out that after making numerous allegations, KCR said that the Congress government was passing time by leaking news to select media outlets, rather than conducting a probe and providing concrete evidence against the alleged irregularities during the BRS regime.

KCR ruled out renaming the Bharat Rashtra Samithi as Telangana Rashtra Samithi once again. He emphasised the need for the party’s presence in national politics to safeguard the interests of the people.

Rubbishing allegations that he had redesigned the Kaleshwaram Project, he pointed out that politicians were strategists, not designers. He had asked officials to redesign the Pranahita-Chevella project to make optimum use of water available in Godavari, especially Pranahita. Besides Irrigation wing engineers, he said that the State government entrusted the survey work to WAPCOS, a subsidiary of the Central Water Commission.
