Friday, November 22, 2024

A Delhi Court has extended Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s judicial custody until April 23 in connection with the money laundering case related to the defunct liquor policy. Kejriwal, arrested on March 21, participated in the session virtually before Special Judge Kaveri Baweja of the Rouse Avenue Courts as his previous custody period concluded.

The court clarified that his custody would coincide with the conclusion of co-accused BRS leader K Kavitha’s judicial custody on April 23. Meanwhile, Kejriwal has appealed against his arrest and detention to the Supreme Court, resulting in a notice being issued to the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
