On Saturday, the alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar made claims that he had paid Rs 50 crore to AAP leader Kailash Gahlot in exchange for securing a Rajya Sabha seat.
Sukesh asserted, “I handed over Rs 50 crore to AAP leader Kailash Gahlot at his farmhouse as per the instructions of jailed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to secure a Rajya Sabha seat.”
He further stated his intention to expose the AAP leadership and to disclose alleged WhatsApp conversations he had with AAP leaders regarding the payments.
Sukesh, currently incarcerated in Delhi’s Mandoli Jail as a prime accused in a Rs 200 crore extortion case, directed his three-page statement to Kejriwal, jailed AAP leader Satyender Jain, and Gahlot. He accused them of misusing their power to influence the transfer and posting of prison officials, citing the example of Dhananjay Rawat, Superintendent of Jail No. 13, Mandoli, whom he claimed to be an AAP associate.
“He is an AAP syndicate member who extorted Rs 1.5 crore from me on behalf of Satyender Jain and Ex-DG, Sandeep Goel,” Sukesh alleged.
Sukesh claimed that despite pressure from Gahlot through jail authorities, he would not refrain from making statements against them. He announced his intention to release a “trailer” of WhatsApp chats involving himself, Gahlot, Kejriwal, Jain, and jail officials in the near future.
