Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy Labels Chandrababu Naidu as ‘Fake Currency’

Tuesday, December 24, 2024

Vijayawada: Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, YSRCP general secretary and government advisor, has branded TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu as akin to counterfeit currency, asserting that the public will not be swayed by his hollow assurances. Reddy contended that Naidu’s pledges are perceived as insincere, particularly regarding welfare schemes initiated by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, which Naidu allegedly intends to revoke instead of enhancing pensions.

Addressing the media in Vijayawada on Thursday, Reddy criticized Naidu’s promise to increase welfare pensions to Rs 4000, deeming it unfeasible. He pointed out Naidu’s track record of providing around 29 lakh pensions at Rs 1000 per month during his tenure from 2014 to 2019, contrasting it with Jagan’s accomplishment of raising pensions to Rs 3000 for 66 lakh eligible beneficiaries. Reddy suggested that Naidu is cognizant of his inability to fulfill his pledges and asserted that the public is wary of his tactics. He recalled Naidu’s defeat in 2019, attributing it to public disillusionment with his perceived deceitfulness and failure to fulfill promises.
