Senior Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader T. Harish Rao has accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of aligning with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as its “B-Team” leader in the liquor policy case, citing responses from the Congress party high command and Mr. Reddy himself as evidence. In a statement issued on Friday, Harish Rao highlighted criticism from Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi against law enforcement agencies like the Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation, alleging misuse by the Narendra Modi government to target political opponents, echoing longstanding claims by the BRS.
However, Harish Rao argued that Revanth Reddy’s actions did not align with those of the Congress party in the state. Instead, they indicated his alignment as a leader of the BJP’s “Team-B” in the state. Harish Rao emphasized that Reddy’s actions were contradictory to the policies of the Congress party and appeared to be in support of the BJP and Prime Minister Modi’s agenda, rather than working under the leadership of Gandhi and Kharge.
