Kalki 2898AD, headlined by India’s biggest pan-India superstar Prabhas, is the only tentpole film that will hit the screens during the long Summer season this year. The dystopian science fiction thriller with Telugu director Nag Ashwin at the helm is scheduled for release on May 9th. The shooting formalities are on the brink of completion as the team is currently busy wrapping up the final portions of the first part.
The latest reports, we hear, suggest that a beautiful romantic duet featuring Prabhas and Disha Patani will be canned in some of the exotic locales of Italy in the next few days. A part of the crew including Disha Patani landed in Naples, Italy the other day to prepare for the song shoot.
Prabhas is likely to join the sets very soon. It is going to be a visual delight as Nag Ashwin wants to showcase some of the idyllic and never-before-seen places of this mesmerizing country of Europe to the moviegoers. It will be a romantic song featuring some of the most stunning views of the country which were never explored by any filmmaker, confirmed a close source to the unit.
With this schedule, the entire shooting will come to a close. The production house is planning to kick start the promotional activities in April. Though the team hasn’t revealed anything yet, the news is that Kalki will have two parts. The film is inspired by the Hindu epic Mahabharata and is set in the period of lord Krishna.
