Amaravati: The recent surge of protests in Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh, driven by demands for the rights of Andhras, has taken a significant turn with the apprehension of JD Lakshmi Narayana, the founder of the Jai Bharat National Party. Lakshmi Narayana, detained at the Mangalagiri police station, revealed details of their endeavour to deliver a letter to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy regarding the special category status.

Expressing apprehensions about commitments made by the central government, particularly concerning a private steel plant, Lakshmi Narayana underscored the alleged confinement of 950 students by the police. The founder of the Jai Bharat National Party also stressed the necessity of staging protests in Delhi to assert the rights pledged by the central government.
