Hyderabad: Banswada MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy praised the Kaleswaram project as a monumental achievement, highlighting its significance in irrigating vast stretches of land and mitigating drought in the state. Speaking alongside BRS working president KT Rama Rao at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad during the BRS Chalo Medigadda event, Pocharam emphasized the project’s global acclaim and its ability to lift water from depths of 600 meters.
While acknowledging that large-scale projects like Kaleswaram may encounter technical challenges, Pocharam accused the Congress of exaggerating minor issues for political gain. He criticized attempts to politicize the recent incident near Medigadda, stressing the need for repairs without delay to prevent harm to farmers and their crops. Pocharam urged against exploiting technical issues for political motives, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing agricultural restoration efforts for the welfare of farmers.
