AP Assembly Speaker Disqualifies 8 MLAs For Party Defection

Amaravati: A significant development has unfolded in Andhra Pradesh politics as Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram has made a decision regarding the disqualification petitions of rebel MLAs. Eight MLAs have been officially disqualified following this decision. Both the TDP and YSRCP have submitted petitions challenging the disqualification of these MLAs. The YSRCP’s petition specifically targets Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Undavalli Sridevi, Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, and Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy for disqualification, while the TDP’s petition focuses on Karanam Balaram, Maddali Giri, Vallabhaneni Vamsi, and Vasupalli Ganesh.

The recent conclusion of hearings on these petitions saw Speaker Tammineni Sitaram deliberating on them and consulting legal experts before arriving at the decision to disqualify the mentioned eight MLAs.
