Hyderabad: K. Kavitha, a leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), has declined to comply with a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) summons related to the Delhi excise policy case, urging the agency to withdraw the notice. She cited a lack of awareness of a prior notice and her busy schedule leading up to the Parliamentary elections as reasons for her inability to appear before the CBI. Kavitha expressed readiness to cooperate virtually but emphasized her belief that the latest summons under Section 41A CrPC was redundant, as she had previously responded to a similar notice over a year ago and asserted her lack of involvement in the case.
Despite being directed to appear before the agency, K. Kavitha has requested the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to withdraw the summons due to her prior commitments and obligations during the pre-election period. She emphasized her dedication to her constituents in Telangana and her need to attend personal meetings across various districts during this crucial time.
