‘Kalki 2898AD’ is a time-travel space opera that features an ensemble cast in the form of Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani and Kamal Haasan in pivotal roles. Nag Ashwin is helming this 500 Crore budget film.
Ever since the first look teaser of this history-making science fiction thriller was unspooled at the Comic-Con event in San Diego last year, there has been a tremendous buzz everywhere because of the spectacular production values. The teaser hinted that the story is set in a futuristic set-up with a blend of fiction and mythology.
The makers of Kalki reiterated several times that the film will hit the screens on May 9th without any delay. The final leg of the shooting is happening at a brisk pace and the team is confident in wrapping up all formalities by the end of March.
Reports suggest that the team is planning to kick start the promotional campaign in April with the release of the theatrical trailer. Though Kalki is an international film, the makers feel that one month is enough to aggressively promote the film all over the globe.
Prabhas and the remaining actors will actively involve in the promotional campaign to effectively amplify the buzz on the film with several events.
Kalki team will set a new benchmark for promotions with numerous first-of-its-kind activities all over the country. Director Nag Ashwin is planning to deploy novel ideas and also partner with renowned marketing agencies from Hollywood to boost the hype on the film.
