“We come from a family that doesn’t fear bombs; why would we fear cases filed by your government?” Telugu Desam Party’s national general secretary, Nara Lokesh, launched a scathing attack on the Jagan administration. He asserted that fear is not part of their family’s profile. Lokesh accused Jagan of assuming that arresting Chandrababu and imprisoning him would demoralize TDP supporters. Chandrababu, who committed no wrongdoing, was incarcerated for 53 days. Lokesh cautioned that the day is approaching when Jagan will face imprisonment for corruption amounting to Rs 1 lakh crore.
Speaking at the Shankharavam meeting in Pathapatnam, Uttarandhra, on Tuesday, Lokesh delivered these remarks. “Srikakulam district embodies the spirit of its people. Those who have done good deeds will be remembered forever, while those who have committed injustices will be forgotten. This power rests solely with the people of Srikakulam district,” Lokesh declared. He characterized Jagan as a prisoner and contrasted him with Chandrababu, whom he described as a visionary leader. Lokesh questioned Jagan’s statement about people being careful because “am your son,” suggesting that if Jagan returns to power, he may claim ownership of people’s lands as if he were their child.
