Hyderabad: It was reported that Bingi Mashchendar Rao, a former MLA representing the Cantonment constituency, breathed his last on Friday night at the age of 94. The veteran politician passed away at his residence in Alwal, succumbing to the natural effects of old age. Mashchendar Rao, a prominent figure in the political landscape, had a notable stint as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) under the banner of the Janata Party.
His political journey spanned from 1978 to 1983, during which he successfully secured the MLA seat. Following his tenure with the Janata Party, Mashchendar Rao transitioned to the Congress party, where he contested in the assembly elections of 1983. Unfortunately, he faced defeat in that particular electoral battle. Despite this setback, he continued to contribute to the public sector, showcasing his versatility by assuming roles such as the Director.
