Amaravati: As the elections in Andhra Pradesh draw near, the ruling YSRCP is undergoing modifications and additions to its list of candidates. Four lists featuring candidate names have already been released, and efforts are underway for the fifth list. Several incumbent members have either lost their ticket or been displaced.
Nellore’s sitting MLA and former minister, Anil Kumar Yadav, along with businessman Chalamalashetty Sunil, held a meeting with Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the CM’s camp office in Tadepalli. In Palnadu district, Narasaraopeta MP Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu resigned from his post. YS Jagan discussed the possibility of fielding a BC candidate in the seat with Anil Kumar Yadav, suggesting that Anil consider contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Narasaraopet. Anil appears to have agreed to Jagan’s proposal.
Belonging to the Kamma community, Lavu SriKrishna Devaraya led Jagan to the conclusion that winning the seat might be challenging. Jagan believes that fielding a BC candidate in that position increases the chances of success. Hence, Jagan turned to Anil Kumar Yadav to fill the gap.
