Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao (KTR), the working president of BRS, strongly criticized Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan’s decision to consider Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) president Prof M Kodandaram for nomination as MLC under the Governor’s quota. Unveiling the national flag at Telangana Bhavan on Friday, KTR accused the Governor of displaying bias in crucial decision-making. He highlighted the Governor’s previous rejections of nominees like Dasoju Sravan and Satyanarayana for MLC positions, citing their political connections, while overlooking Prof Kodandaram’s affiliations despite his leadership role in the TJS.
Referring to media reports, KTR raised questions about the Governor’s prompt approval of Kodandaram’s nomination compared to the delayed responses to Sravan’s and Satyanarayana’s nominations. He demanded an explanation for this inconsistency, emphasizing that the Raj Bhavan operates with public funds, and the Governor is ultimately accountable to the people of Telangana, not just the Chief Minister.
