Prabhas to showcase his comic side for the first time

Prabhas became a household name after the sweeping success of Baahubali 1 and Baahubali 2. He emerged as a pan-India superstar and his growing popularity means that there is a lot of pressure on him to act in larger-than-life characters in every outing since then. So, he has been doing films with a large canvas and flamboyant characterizations.

For most of his career, Prabhas loved playing mass roles that had ample scope for heroism and action episodes. Though he occasionally portrayed full-length loverboy roles in films like Darling and Mr. Perfect, Prabhas never showcased his comic side to the fullest in any of his films so far.

But, he always demonstrated that there is an untapped funny side in his acting repertoire through some of his films like Bujjigadu and Billa in which he tickled the bones of audiences with his onscreen antics.

Now, for the first time in his two-decade career, the Baahubali actor is going to reveal the hitherto unknown side of his acting mettle in his upcoming film ‘The Raja Saab’ which has him playing a humourous character that will evoke plenty of laughs.

Director Maruthi who is at the helm of this horror comedy has reportedly penned a never-before-seen character for Prabhas that will see him at his comic best with funny one-liners and witty jinks.

The Raja Saab is billed as an out-and-out comedy caper with loads of fun weaved around interesting drama. Amidst all the intense and serious characters Prabhas played in recent times, his role in this film will be a complete deviation giving his fans a huge relief from monotony.

The recently released first look poster of ‘The Raja Saab’ presented Prabhas as a lungi-clad happy-go-lucky man who appeared in jubilant mode dancing on the street full of vibrant atmosphere. This is just a sneak-peek into his character which promises some non-stop entertainment on the big screen.
