Thursday, November 21, 2024

Amaravati: Gudivada witnessed heightened tension on the occasion of NTR’s death anniversary as police obstructed TDP and Jana Sena activists en route to pay homage at the late NTR’s statue. The police, citing regulations, prohibited their approach by erecting barricades, leading to a scuffle between law enforcement and party members. Venigandla Ramu, the TDP in-charge for Gudivada, expressed frustration at the police’s actions, questioning the rationale behind the restrictions.

Kodali Nani was an exception and allowed access to the statue, prompting protests from the TDP and Jana Sena activists who insisted on paying their respects to NTR. The situation escalated as more activists from both parties gathered in response to the unfolding events, intensifying the atmosphere of tension in Gudivada.
