Vijayawada: On Thursday evening, the ruling YSRCP unveiled its third list of candidates for the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, covering 21 constituencies. The roster comprises six MP candidates and 15 MLA candidates. Kesineni Srinivas, also known as Kesineni Nani, is listed to contest from the Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency.
Notably, Nani recently resigned as a TDP MP following his removal by the party high command and subsequently met with CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday. Among the MP candidates, Botsa Jhansi Lakshmi, wife of Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, will contest from the Visakhapatnam LS constituency. Other MP contenders include Gummanuri Jayaram (Kurnool), Koneti Adimoolam (Tirupati), Sunil Kumar Yadav (Eluru), and Perada Tilak (Srikakulam). The YSRCP had previously disclosed a list of 38 candidates in two phases, bringing the total number of announced candidates to 59.
The MLA candidates unveiled include Piriya Vijaya (Ichapuram), Duvvada Srinivas (Tekkali), Kumbham Vijaya Raju (Chintalapudi), Mettu Govinda Reddy (Rayadurgam), and Buchepalli Sivaprasad Reddy (Darsi). Other MLA candidates are Sunil Kumar Muthirevula (Puthalapattu – SC), Vijayananda Reddy (Chittoor), Nisar Ahmed (Madanapalle), Akepati Amarnath Reddy (Rajampet), Busine Virupakshi (Aluru), Dr. Satish (Kodumuru – SC), Meriga Murali (Guduru – SC), Maddila Gurumurthy (Satyavedu – SC), Jogi Ramesh (Penamalur), and Uppala Ramu (Pedana).
