The pre-release event of Tollywood’s first superhero film HanuMan, starring Teja Sajja in the lead role, was held in Hyderabad last night with Megastar Chiranjeevi as Chief Guest.
The main highlight of the event was the surprise announcement made by Chiru on behalf of the team. Chiru revealed that Rs 5 from each ticket bought for HanuMan will be contributed to Ram Mandir in Ayodhya which is set to be inaugurated on January 22nd.
This great gesture from team HanuMan at the right time has been receiving immense applause from all quarters.
Teja Sajja performed Chiranjeevi’s iconic Veena step from Indra film on stage in front of him and got a roaring reception from the crowd. Speaking about Chiranjeevi, he said Hanuman came to help lord Sri Ram and for our film, Sri Ram sent Chiranjeevi as Hanuman to support us. He thanked Chiranjeevi for encouraging him as a family member and called him Cinema Pedda ( Industry bigwig).
He also said while it is Rajamouli for Ram Charan and Puri Jagannadh for Ravi Teja, it is Prashanth Varma for Teja. He said HanuMan is a film for all age groups with entertaining elements.
Prashanth Varma thanked his producer Niranjan Reddy for giving him this golden opportunity and said it is a tough job to grab a chance and succeed with it. He also thanked Chiranjeevi for coming to support their film.
Speaking later in the event, Chiru said he graced the event for four reasons – Teja, Lord Hanuman, the exciting content and the need for him to encourage a small film during the heavy competition. He said there is no bigger superstar than Hanuman. He recollected how Dil Raju’s Shathamanam Bhavathi performed well despite releasing along with biggies.
HanuMan is slated for release on January 12th.
