Senior top-tier actor Akkineni Nagarjuna is looking to score a hat-trick of festival hits with his forthcoming mass entertainer ‘Naa Saami Ranga’. He previously emerged as a Sankranti winner when his films Soggade Chinni Nayana and Bangarraju scored box office hits during the same festival season in 2016 and 2021 respectively.
Nagarjuna is once again banking on the same sentiment this year. Despite facing stiff competition from films like Guntur Kaaram, Hanu-Man and Saindhav, Nag is very confident that Naa Saami Ranga has got the ammo that can sure fire at the box office.
The teasers and the trailer hint that the Oopiri actor is back in his elements with his trademark mannerisms and mass body language that can resonate well with family audiences.
The rural set-up and powerful action blocks coupled with full-on entertainment from Nagarjuna and his sidekicks Allari Naresh and Raj Tarun will be the selling points for Naa Saami Ranga. The music score given by MM Keeravani is going to be an added asset for the film.
Among all Sankranti films this year, Naa Saami Ranga appears to be the only full-length entertainer that will have all elements like romance, drama, comedy and action and they are likely to cater to the masses fully.
Naa Saami Ranga has a good chance to emerge as festival winner this year if director Vijay Binni manages to come up with the right mix of all these elements and present Nag in a vintage role.
But, it will need to overcome the spicy Guntur Kaaram from Mahesh Babu which is also a commercial potboiler.
The film is slated for release on January 14th.
