Amaravati:
The turmoil within the ruling YSRCP persists as decisions made by Jagan regarding candidates create confusion among party leaders. Jagan, in addition to utilizing the i-pack, is withholding tickets from MLAs identified as trailing in internal surveys. Following the BRS defeat in the Telangana elections, Jagan is exercising caution in candidate selection.
As part of this strategy, some MLAs have been relocated to different constituencies, while 11 others have been denied tickets. The surprise exclusion of Hindupuram YSRCP MP Goruntla Madhav in the recent second list further underscores Jagan’s careful approach. An order has been issued to replace Goruntla Madhav with Shanta, a female leader and former BJP MP.
In response, Goruntla Madhav expressed his commitment to CM Jagan’s decision, stating, “I will adhere to the decision made by CM Jagan. The party is like a mother to me.” He refuted social media rumors and clarified that he had not spoken against the party anywhere. Denying any pressure on party elders regarding the ticket issue, Madhav affirmed his unwavering loyalty to the YSRCP. He declared his intent to remain an activist within the party even if denied a ticket.
