Revenue Authorities Issue Notices to Telangana Bhavan

Monday, November 25, 2024

Hyderabad: The BRS is facing successive shocks as revenue authorities issue notices to Telangana Bhavan in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The notices highlight the violation of rules due to commercial activities within the party office. Emphasizing the need for compliance, the notice explicitly states that the ongoing TV channel in the party office must be relocated. The news channel is required to provide an explanation for the timeframe within which the relocation will occur.

Notices have also been directed to Telangana Bhavan in-charge, Srinivas Reddy, who has been overseeing TV channel affairs in the party’s office since 2011. Despite Congress leaders raising concerns with authorities in the past, the BRS, following its defeat in the elections, is actively working to shift the channel to another building.

Simultaneously, revenue department officials have issued additional notices. Representatives from Telangana Bhavan have declined to provide media explanations regarding these notices. Former BRS MLAs, including Jeevan Reddy, who leased Armoor RTC land in his wife’s name, are among those who have received notices. The rent for the leased land remains unpaid, and outstanding electricity bills have yet to be settled.
