Hyderabad: Ahead of New Year celebrations, the Cyberabad Traffic Police released traffic guidelines on Saturday. The Outer Ring Road (ORR) will restrict light motor vehicle access, permitting only vehicles heading to the RGI Airport and PVNR Expressway between 10 pm and 5 am. Closure during these hours is enforced for the Shilpa Layout flyover, Gachibowli flyover, Bio-diversity flyovers-I and II, Shaikpet flyover, Mindspace, Road No.45 flyover, Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge, Cyber Tower flyover, Forum Mall-JNTU flyover, Khaithlapur flyover, Babu Jagjivan Ram flyover at Balanagar, and AMB Kondapur.
Complete closure for both vehicles and pedestrians is in effect from 11 pm to 5 am. The traffic police emphasizes proper uniform and documentation for cab/taxi/auto-rickshaw drivers, warning against ride refusal, with a penalty of Rs. 500 via e-challan for violations of Section 178 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
