It seems like all is not well between Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and the producer of his upcoming film Devil. With just a few days left for the film’s release, there is not even a single promotional event from the production house. Also, it is quite baffling that Kalyan Ram is also staying silent about the film.
Though the reasons are not known, it is evident that Kalyan Ram is not interested in promoting this film. He usually gives everything to his films from shooting on time, controlling the budget and promoting them aggressively. So, it is quite shocking to notice that he is intentionally not taking much care about Devil.
Also, the fact that the silence from Kalyan Ram’s brother and star hero NTR, who extends big support to his films, lends credence to the ongoing rumours about the rift between the producer and the hero. NTR didn’t attend the pre-release event and didn’t tweet about the film so far.
Devil initially generated decent buzz due to intriguing posters and interesting teasers. The recently released trailer with suspenseful elements and impressive production values also created good anticipation for the film. However, the lackluster approach as far as the promotions are concerned is very much shocking to everyone.
Devil is a period drama which is produced by Abhishek Nama. Director Naveen Medaram initially handled the film. However, due to some creative differences between the team, he walked out after some days. Since then, Abhishek Nama donned the director’s hat.
Ace producer Dil Raju acquired the theatrical rights of Devil and it is set for release on December 29th. The film will face huge competition from Salaar which is currently running with packed houses.
